Significant Tree Register Assessment and Review
Trees provide many benefits for all species in our natural environment and so it is important to protect them where possible. Most council’s sustainability strategies include a tree register to protect significant trees in the community. A significant tree could include a rare, uncommon species or has historical significance.
Arbor Survey consultants are uniquely skilled to review and assess any new trees chosen for the register against the heritage identification and assessment criteria, check the conditions of trees already registered and record and updated any changes and provide guidance on ongoing maintenance and care of all trees listed on the register.
Tree Management Plans
A complete tree management plan could be prepared for a site that requires ongoing maintenance and regular management of the tree population. These reports monitor the condition of the trees, assess the risk and provide specific management actions and timeframes. These plans are ideal for schools, kindergartens, commercial properties and even golf courses.
Arbor Survey tree management plans can be developed for any public and private ownership sites. We understand the risks involved with trees and have advanced qualifications and experience in current tree risk analysis using the Quantified Tree Risk Analysis (QTRA) and the International Society of Arboriculture, Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) system. We understand tree biology and the physical tree works requirements. We will provide an independent, realistic and specific tree management works plan for your site.
Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) Expert Evidence and Representation
In some circumstances a consulting arborist is required to provide evidence to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) on dispute applications taken to the tribunal by developers, Council and landowners over permits required for development of land associated with tree and landscape matters.
Arbor Survey are able to prepare detailed and accurate expert witness reports and appear at Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) and or court proceedings for civil tree disputes matters. We have extensive experience providing evidence at VCAT and have represented numerous private and local government clients, including representation at Victorian Planning Panel hearings.
