Mark Reynolds, Managing Director and founder of Arbor Survey Pty Ltd is highly regarded for his environmental awareness, town planning and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) experience, technical skills and management of all of his client projects.
Mark has been involved in the arboricultural industry since 2001. During this time, he has worked for both private and public sector clients including numerous Victorian local government authorities such as Bayside City Council, City of Kingston, Cardinia Shire Council and City of Boroondara as the Senior Arborist and Open Space Coordinator.
Working within local government authorities Mark has been responsible for providing arboricultural referral advice based on development impact and risk for statutory planning in relation to planning applications, strategic planning advice relating to planning scheme amendments and other vegetation related planning issues. Mark has also developed arboricultural report writing guidelines that are widely used throughout Victoria.
As well as Mark’s local government involvement, he has also worked as a private consultant advising clients on tree risk, health and structural condition assessments, tree valuations, development impact assessments and tree management plans (based upon the Australian Standard AS4970:2009 – Protection of Trees on development sites). He has also provided Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) expert evidence statements and has represented numerous private and public sector clients at VCAT and at Magistrates Court.
Mark’s internationally recognised tree risk assessment qualifications from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA TRAQ) and advanced training in the tree risk methodology known as Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA) have enabled Arbor Survey to be the preferred contractor for a number of local government and private clients for tree risk assessments.
